Subscribe to my mailing list to be notified very occasionally on any new books and/or web or print articles. I don't e-mail it that often and I never sell or share information. I don't like getting a lot of e-mail even from mailing lists I subscribe to, so I only e-mail it when it's worth it! No spam, easy to unsubscribe too.
New: Subscribe and occasionally get free vector art (illustrations) or photos to use in your promotion or client work! I'll e-mail out URL addresses for subscriber-only vector art I create.

Using Public Domain Images for Art

by Chad NeumanYou can use photos to trace over in Adobe Illustrator to make some unique effects and vector art. But if the vector art resembles the original photo to the average person, then you run into copyright issues. For example, when submitting vector art to Istockphoto.com, if you trace your vector art over photos, you’re supposed to include the original photos used and they should be taken by yourself or someone who let you use their copyright.
